Time for festive fun with Thomas & Friends™ this Christmas.
It’s time for a Day Out With Thomas: Festive Celebration at Statfold Country Park. Spend the day creating family memories and embark in an adventure filled with festive fun and surprise!
There will be so much to do from a festive ride behind steam engines Thomas, James and Percy to meeting Santa inside his festive grotto for a family photo and not forgetting a Thomas & Friends gift for every child ticket, worth up to £15! Every adult will also receive a free mince pie, but only if they are on the “Nice List”.















A ride behind Thomas, a real steam engine! Take a journey around the countryside. Each ticket includes one ride behind Thomas, please pre-book your preferred time slot.
Take an enchanting stroll through the “indoor magical woodland walk” on your journey to meet Santa inside his Grotto. And EVERY child & infant will receive a Thomas & Friends gift to take home!
Thomas isn’t the only engine out on the line. Enjoy unlimited steam engine rides behind James and Percy too! Available 9:30-15:30.
Meet Sir Topham Hatt on our platform as you depart from your train ride and have your photo taken with Rosie in our Roundhouse Museum!
There will be live shows from Sodor Station Sweepers Rusty & Dusty throughout the day plus plenty of photo opportunities across the site.
Decorate the cookies in the Sodor Bakery! There will be icing, sweeties and more so take your pick. You might even get to sneak one home to eat!
Find all of the Thomas & Friends characters hidden around the railway to reveal the message, there are 6 to find!
Take part in the fun activities, from festive arts and crafts, family games, a festive tattoo station and story-time sessions.
The reindeer love to have snacks during their flight on Christmas Eve. Join our elves in making the perfect reindeer snack, choose from flight dust to invisibility powder and more!
For little ones take on our 3-tiered Toby’s Barn: Soft Play! This activity is included in your ticket but must be pre-booked to avoid disappointment!
Our gift shop will be open all day, selling a range of Thomas & Friends merchandise, including toys, clothes, bags and much more!
Take a ride on a beautiful vintage swing chair, our magical train merry-go-round or enjoy a go on our virtual reality magical sleigh ride. Please note activities may be subject to weather.

Prices include a non-refundable 10% booking fee (8% on family discount). All transactions are subject to a non-refundable 0.75p transaction charge.
All Thomas rides are approximately 15 minutes long.
Yes, please book your preferred time, one Thomas ride is permitted per ticket, and you must only board the train at the time that you have pre-booked. We advise arriving at Oak Tree Platform at least 5 minutes in advance to board your train.
Your ticket includes ALL the activities included in the activity section above (Soft Play subject to availability).
Yes, Percy, James, Rosie, Sir Topham Hatt and Rusty & Dusty will also be there!
No, children under 2 can attend for free so do not require a ticket. Please be aware that they will not be allocated a seat on the Thomas rides and will be required to sit on a parent or guardian’s lap.
Yes, activities are available from 09:00 to 17:00. Remember you must be ready to board your Thomas ride at your pre-booked time slot. (This time is displayed on your e-ticket).
Yes, in addition to your Thomas ride you can enjoy unlimited rides behind James and Percy plus unlimited train rides on our miniature railway.
Yes, after letting off some steam, it’s time to refuel with a bite to eat and a drink from our Diane’s Diner and Peelers Bar.
All areas for the event are on level ground. Trains can accommodate wheelchairs, and we have disabled toilets and a lift to the mezzanine floor in the museum. Ramps are provided to access train rides on our narrow gauge railway, including Thomas, Percy and James rides. A couple of carriages have suitable spaces for a limited number of wheelchairs on each ride. Wheelchair access is also available on the miniature railway.
Yes, for any visitor with access needs who requires a carer we offer one free carer ticket per full-price ticket. Please book by contacting Quaytickets on 0343 208 1841. Proof of status will need to be provided on arrival at the railway.
Yes, we have ample free parking onsite and disabled parking.
No, full terms and conditions are available to view on the Day Out With Thomas website. Soft Play can be amended in advance subject to availability.
We recommend booking in advance, tickets on the day will be subject to availability, we recommend enquiring before travelling.
The Day Out With Thomas event opens at 09:00 and finishes at 17:00.
If your pre-booked Thomas ride is booked for 09:00, please arrive at 08:45. If your Thomas ride is later in the day, please arrive earlier and enjoy the other activities before your pre-booked Thomas ride. If you are travelling on the 16:00 Thomas ride we recommend that you arrive no later than 14:30 to enjoy the other activities.
Well behaved dogs on leads are permitted onsite. However, we do ask that they do not enter the Diner inside the museum. We ask all dog owners to remain responsible whilst on our site and to clear up their waste.
No, space is limited, and we ask all pushchairs to be left at the pushchair/buggy park. You will exit at this location enabling you to collect your pushchair/buggy.
Unfortunately, Statfold Gift Vouchers will not be able to be redeemed for Day Out With Thomas bookings.
