February Half-Term marks the first time that we will be opening our full general operations, this means your fun day out could go like this…
Walking into Statfold Country Park you will be met by the wonder of our World-renowned Museum. Take a stroll through our roundhouse and learn about the history of the locomotives in our collection. Make sure to head up to the mezzanine too for more exhibits and views from above!
After the museum, burn off some steam in Toby’s Barn: Play & Climb! Children can enjoy a number of slides, swing on the zipline and spin around on Toby’s wheel in our 3 tiered soft play. For older guests, showcase your bravery on the Clip n’ Climb walls and race your friends to the top!
Follow this through with a visit to Diane’s Diner for some delicious lunchtime options including sandwiches and light bites or hot food such as chicken nuggets, burgers and more.
Then it’s time to visit our award-winning railway. Head out to the Oak Tree Platform and get on the big train first taking in the countryside views, hop off when you reach Statfold Junction to see the engine turning and coupling up to the carriages before travelling back down to catch your next journey.
All aboard the miniature railway for a trip to the Mease Valley Woods passing by our stunning lake. Walk around the trail and look out for the wildlife facts and bug hotel!
There’s still more to explore so we suggest a quick warm up by stopping at Peeler’s Bar & Café for a hot coffee and cosy hot chocolate.
Enter the Courtyard where you’ll find the colouring station room with our arts activities, vintage swing chair ride and the Statfold Shop for souvenirs.
Next up, grab the family and challenge the group to a round of mini golf! We have 9 holes to test your skills on… but think tactically as there are lots of obstacles in the way to attempt to block you from that hole in one.
Pay a little extra and venture over to the Retro Roller Disco for a skate to some funky music and cool lighting.
Finish off with one last play at Strawberry Park, there are swings, big outdoor zipline, slide, climbing frame and other pieces to do!
